Individual arrival in Spiez, the charming holiday resort on Lake Thun, surrounded by a majestic mountain backdrop.
At the elegant Hotel Eden Spiez, you will check into your stylish lake-view room – with breathtaking views of Spiez Bay, the Alps, and the historic castle.
In the evening, a welcome aperitif on the terrace or in the lounge will get you in the mood for your break. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious 4-course dinner in the panorama restaurant, which harmoniously combines regional specialties and creative cuisine – a treat for all the senses.
Let the evening come to a relaxed end and look forward to restful days surrounded by nature, culture, and culinary diversity in the heart of the Bernese Oberland.
After a breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired, you will set off on an unforgettable full-day excursion into the fascinating mountain world of the Bernese Oberland.
Your journey will take you by train to the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the impressive valley of 72 waterfalls that was created by glaciers over thousands of years. Be sure to have your camera ready!
The journey then continues via Wengen and Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald, offering beautiful views of the Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn, Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountain range.
A highlight of the day is a visit to the Grindelwald Glacier Gorge, a unique masterpiece of nature with 300-meter-high rock walls. The glacier gorge is accessible via rock galleries, paths, and tunnels. The six different themed worlds provide a wealth of interesting information about the history and formation of the glacier gorge. It is easy to walk through, but we recommend sturdy shoes and jackets even in summer, as temperatures in the gorge are around 10 degrees Celsius.
After an eventful day, you will return to Spiez.
In the evening, a delicious dinner awaits you in the hotel restaurant, the perfect end to an impressive day.
Today you will discover the cultural side of the Bernese Oberland. After breakfast, you will take the train to the federal capital of Bern – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the capital of Switzerland.
During a leisurely stroll through the city, you will explore the Federal Parliament Building, the famous Zytglogge clock tower, the cathedral, the arcades of the old town, and the traditional bear pit.
Then you will return via Thun, where the next highlight awaits: a nostalgic trip on a historic steamboat across Lake Thun – a journey into the past with magnificent views of the lakeside landscape.
To round off your break, enjoy a festive farewell dinner at the hotel with regional specialties and a view of the evening sun – an atmospheric end to your trip!
At the end of your break, enjoy a delicious breakfast on the lakeside terrace with views of the Bernese Alps.
If you want to delay your departure a little longer, choose the optional return journey via Interlaken with a trip to the Harder Kulm. The impressive Two Lakes Bridge offers an incomparable panorama of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz – a final highlight full of photo opportunities and memories.
