By public transport, you can reach Celerina in the Upper Engadine in comfort. For train enthusiasts, we recommend taking the UNESCO World Heritage Albula line from Chur to Celerina.

If you arrive by car, you may leave it at the Cresta Palace Hotel in Celerina for the duration of your hike.

1st stage: St.Moritz - Pontresina

We recommend that you take the post bus to St. Moritz. The bus stop is directly in front of the Hotel Cresta Palace. Take bus no. 6 in the direction of Sils/Segl Maria and get off at St. Moritz, Schulhausplatz.  First the path leads along the lake to the dairy. Behind the dairy you continue to the Stazersee. On the way, you can feed and observe the trusting birds at the bird feeding station. Would you like to walk around Lake Staz and then sit on the sun terrace of the Lej da Staz restaurant and enjoy a coffee or aperitif - or take the faster route covered here along the north side of the lake and through the snow-covered Stazerwald forest to  Pontresina.

Easy winter hike - if you choose the direct route calculate approx. 1h40 minutes - 6.3km.

2nd stage: Pontresina - Bever

The hike starts in Pontresina. The idyllic path leads via Muragls along the Flaz River to the Bever railway station. Experience part of the famous waterway and be surprised with digital information at every bench and bridge, in addition to the information boards. From Bever we recommend you take the train to Zuoz (departures always x.01 et x.16 - so e.g. 13.01h, 14:16h etc.). Easy winter hike always along the sun - 8.8km - calculate 2h15 hiking time.

3rd stage: Zuoz - Spinas

It's this tranquillity that turns this easy hike into a great experience: from Hotel Castell, the trail first leads to Madulain. The trail then leads along the river to Bever. From Bever, the path follows the Beverinbach stream to Spinas, sometimes over snow-covered plains, sometimes through enchanting forests. The leisurely hike is accompanied by the RhB, which meanders leisurely down to Bever on the Albula line. After arriving in Spinas, the RhB takes you back to Celerina. ATTENTION - direct connections (14 minutes journey time) are available at 14:38 from or 17.38h from Spinas. In between there is a connection at 15.22h with a change in Preda (journey time 30 minutes).   Welcome back to the Cresta Palace Hotel in Celerina.
