You travel by post bus to Surlej. The bus stop is in front of the Hotel Cresta Palace. You take the bus no. 6 Right Sils/Segl Maria and go to Surlej Corvatsch cable car valley station.

With the cable car Corvatsch you go to the middle station Murtèl on 2702 m.a.s.l. Already here you enjoy a wonderful view over the Engadiner lake district. After about 45 minutes you reach the Fuorcla Surlej, from where you can see one of the most spectacular panoramas of the Alps. One looks into an enormous arena of ice and rock, in the background the Piz Tschierva, Piz Morteratsch, Piz Bernina with the famous Biancograt, Piz Roseg and the Sella group surrounded by impressive glaciers. Around the Fuorcla Surlej there are silent signs of the last ice age. Round rocks drawn by the ice masses, between which small lakes formed. From Fuorcla Surlej, the path descends into Val Roseg with a magnificent view over the entire valley and the majestic glaciers. After approx. 2.5 hours of hiking through the enchanting beauty of this high valley you reach the Hotel Restaurant Roseg Glacier, where you can decide whether the way to Pontresina should be covered comfortably in a horse-drawn carriage (approx. 1 hour) or on foot (approx. 1.5 hours).

The third stage takes you from Pontresina to Muottas Muragl. Enjoy the enchanting view of the Upper Engadine lake landscape before descending into the valley, where you hike along the Inn to Zuoz. The whole stage lasts 6 hours and is about 18km long. But you also have the possibility to cover single routes by bus or train or to take the funicular from Punt Muragl to Muottas Muragl and start the hike there.
