Sit back and enjoy the view of babbling brooks, deep clear lakes, lush green mountain meadows, rock and ice - in the background the mountain peaks, some still powdered white. In the panorama car of the Glacier Express, you meander comfortably over ingenious engineering structures and through numerous tunnels, always in the midst of beautiful natural and cultural landscapes. In the evening, you can soak up the impressions in the cosy atmosphere of the Private Selection Hotels and enjoy culinary creations made from local products, accompanied by a fine drop from the wine cellar!

2 nights Zermatt

Individual arrival by public transport to Zermatt. Check in at the Hotel BEAUSiTE Zermatt before your arrival and they will pick you and your luggage up at the station. During the next two days you will have plenty of time to explore the mountain world around Zermatt. Over 400 kilometres of marked hiking trails lead through the summer paradise of Zermatt. Leisurely family hikes are just as possible as dizzying alpine passages. In the background as a constant companion: the Matterhorn - feared. Myth and most-viewed photo motif of the region at the same time. In the evening, you can enjoy relaxing moments in the hotel's wellness area and are treated to a fine dinner in one of the hotel restaurants.

Transfer ride with the Glacier Express

Day 3 is the day: At 08:52 (or 09:52) your journey starts on the world's slowest express train. The journey through the summer wonderland takes around 7.5 hours. The Glacier Express delights with technical masterpieces: You will pass through numerous tunnels and cross hundreds of bridges. During the journey, you will always enjoy a view of unique landscapes through the roof-high panorama windows. Thanks to the experience gastronomy on the Glacier Express, you are well looked after. The meals are freshly prepared on board and served to your seat.

Option 1: Onward journey to Davos Platz (exclusive variant)

At 15.42 or 16.42 you reach Filisur. Here you change to the train to Davos Platz. You have enough time to change trains, as your train leaves at 4.06 p.m. (TIP: on this connection you travel from Filisur to Davos on the Nostalgia Train, a historic train composition from the 1920s!) or 5.04 p.m.. The last stage takes you over the imposing Wiesner Viaduct and through the wildly romantic Zügen Gorge to Davos Platz, the final stop on your train journey today.

Option 2: Continue to St. Moritz ⁄ Celerina (classic variant)

Just stay seated and travel with the Glacier Express over the UNESCO World Heritage route of the Albula Line to St. Moritz. There you will be picked up by the hotel shuttle.

Enjoy your welcome aperitif in the hotel bar and let the many impressions of today sink in. The shuttle will take you directly to your accommodation, the Cresta Palace Hotel****S. Enjoy a 4-course dine around dinner here as part of half board. Celerina is a mecca for all summer fans, with numerous activities to choose from, all within easy reach of the hotel. After an eventful day, relax in the hotel's spa area.
