Price per person in a double room

bookable from Mid-april until the end of October 2021 (depends on the weather and snow situation).

Charmey – Gstaad-Schönried – Spiez – Wilen am Sarnersee – Luzern

This lake tour takes you on a journey right through the picture postcard scenery of Switzerland. Your first destination is the region of Gruyère, home of Switzerland’s favourite cheese. The Jaunbach gorge leads the way to Gstaad-Schönried, a chalet town in the Saanenland, famous for its chic charm and understated luxury. From there, whizz down into the Simmental valley to the (not-quite-identical) twin lakes of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz - two crystal clear mountain lakes with stunningly captivating panoramas. Worth a visit whilst you’re here is the famous town of Interlaken, situated at the foot of the three famous peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. From there it’s pedal hard, up and over the Brünig Pass. When you arrive at the top, the view of the beautiful sparkling Lake Lungern will be worth the effort!
On the last leg of your ride, head past Lake Sarnen as far as Lake Lucerne – in the very heart of Switzerland – where you’ll find a breath-taking mirror-like reflection of the mountains.

Day 1: Arrival in the Gruyère Region

Travel by yourself by train as far as Bulle an then take the post bus to the HOTEL CAILLER. If you have enough time we recommend you to visit the Swiss chocolate factory museum Maison Cailler in Broc or the Swiss cheese factory museum Maison Gruyère in Gruyère.

Day 2: Charmey - Gtaad-Schönried

A beautiful bike ride through the region La Gruyère and its nature parc. After about 3 hours you arrive in Gstaad-Schönried - a charming village with lots of typical Swiss Chalets. Relax in the spacious wellness area of the Hotel ERMITAGE and enjoy a delicious mulit-course dinner in the evening.

Day 3: Gstaad-Schönried – Spiez

Fully replenished, you’ll be ready for the third stage of the Lakes Route. The Simmen Valley runs the length of the river Simme, through tens of dozens of quaintly decorated wooden houses and down towards Spiez. We suggest a stop-off in the Diemtig valley, a 16km-long oasis of pure natural beauty. Diemtig has been awarded the Wakker Prize for its perfectly preserved, beautiful wooden houses. Further on, Port Wimmis is also worth visiting, featuring one of the oldest bridges of the Bernese Oberland.

After you arrive at the HOTEL EDEN SPIEZ, set in a beautiful location with views out over Lake Thun, you can relax in the Wellness and Spa facilities. And to finish off, you’ll be spoiled with a multicourse menu in the hotel restaurant.

• Hearty breakfast buffet at the ERMITAGE Wellness- & Spa-Hotel in Gstaad-Schönried

• Bike ride to Spiez

• Check-In at the Hotel Eden Spiez

• Free entry to the Wellness and sauna facilities

Day 4: Spiez – Wilen am Sarnersee

Fully recovered, you’ll embark on the hardest but most spectacular stage. First, you’ll ride the length of Lake Thun as far as Interlaken. Then you’ll continue along the crystal-clear Lake Brienz as far as Meiringen. After that, the crossing of the Brunig Pass awaits you and with the assistance of your E-bike it won’t take long and before you know it, you’ll have the next breath-taking mountain lake in view – Lake Lungern. In case you haven’t already found a perfect spot to get your breath back, the lakeside is an ideal place to relax. Not far to go now until you see the outline of Lake Sarnen with your destination, the SEEHOTEL WILERBAD SEMINAR & SPA, situated close by. After arriving in Wilen, take a well-deserved muscle relaxing session within the lavish Wellness oasis at the hotel. After that, the hotel’s restaurant will spoil you with an exquisite evening dinner.

After a hearty breakfast from the buffet, it’s back in the saddle for the final day’s stage. After passing by Lake Sarnen, it’s not long before Lake Lucerne, with its magnificent mountain backdrop, awaits you. After a short while you’ll arrive in Hergiswil where Switzerland’s famous Glasi glass factory is definitely worth a visit. When you’ve finished marvelling at the glassblowers, it’s time to carry on to Lucerne. There, the landmark Chapel bridge bridge takes you over the Reuss and over to the charming old town which is a perfect place to stop for a coffee in one of the delightful cafés. Its only a few meteres to the HOTEL SCHWEIZERHOF LUCERNE from the old town. There you can round off your journey at the Wellness facilities and you’ll be treated to a 5-course evening dinner with a choice of dishes.
